HESC within the Department of Curriculum Management, in collaboration with Wasteserv participated in a campaign promoting less food waste targeting Primary and Secondary school students. This event was organised in relation to the European Week for Waste Reduction. The intervention by HESC staff comprised of a short presentation highlighting tips how to reduce food waste. A demonstration on how to prepare a healthy bread pudding (pudina tal-ħobż) using ‘rescued’ ingredients e.g. stale bread, ripened fruit etc. was carried out. Pupils also had the opportunity to taste the bread pudding.
