HESC within the Department of Curriculum Management participated in the Feeding Frenzy programme (Eat Responsibly Project) at St Benedict’s College, Birżebbuġa Primary. HESC teachers, a member of the school SMT, together with five Year 5 pupils planned and prepared a healthy Maltese ftira for all Year 4 pupils. Prior to the practical intervention, pupils and HESC teachers discussed the importance of following safety and hygiene practices while preparing food. This programme aimed at equipping potential early school leavers with practical lifelong skills and also at boosting their self-esteem.
